The Headlines read; 'End Of Year Action Restores Obama Luster'. Luster for what action and does anyone in America benefit other than Obama?

It seems that the Republicans in the Senate decided to give the President a Christmas present even though he doesn't appear to believe in the religious holidays, which is exactly what Christmas is, it is a celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ in case your parents didn't tell you. Instead of putting up a fierce fight on all issues they appear to have made the usual backroom deals to get the Tax Deal through and in the process let the President have his repeal of don't ask don't tell, I can't say I or many other Americans are overjoyed with this politics as usual, but what's done is done. However this should be the end of the road for this President ramming his socialist policies through and if the Senate doesn't do everything in their power to halt everything until the new Congress is seated after the first of the year they should be made to pay in the upcoming 2012 elections.

Mr. Obama is in the process of cranking up his old election machine that managed to get possibly the most inexperienced and inept politician ever elected to the highest office in the land. He is going to do whatever is necessary to show the people of this country that he has seen the 'light' and has moved to the center much like Mr. Clinton did after his ass kicking when he was in office, even though in a moment of extreme arrogance some months ago telling his opposition to take a 'back seat' and in effect get in line with his wishes.

It is not enough that Omnibus and the Dream Act were stopped. START needs to be redefined so as not to give our enemy, Russia, advantage thanks to the fine work of late great Richard Holbrooke and the Obama administration's goal of getting the treaty pushed through at any cost to America. We have the border issue that should be dealt with in a most draconian fashion, we still have excessive unemployment that the Obama policies have failed to turn around and most importantly Obama Care needs to be repealed in the new year.

I hope the new class of congressmen and Senators hold their ground and stick to their campaign promises that got them elected.

Americans have always given generously of their time and resources so other than grandstanding what's the purpose of the billionaires pledges to give?

This little story has been batted around by the media this past week in an effort to try to get it to grow legs, but in the end it has been relegated to the far back burner and maybe even the circular file (the garbage can) where it belongs. What is the purpose of a bunch of billionaires flaunting their wealth in front of the entire world pledging to give away some portion of their wealth during their lifetimes other than to get some publicity to stroke their billionaire sized egos.

I hope they weren't trying to get the average 'Joe' off the couch and induce him to open his check book and start giving, because he already is and has been forever. Most people, which may come as a shock to the billionaire class, give according to their means. Some give a little while some give more but strangely most do actually give. And to correct what might possibly be a misconception on the part of these 21st century billionaires that the really rich don't give enough or they are the first to come up with this idea, they only need to reference people like Andrew Carnegie who gave away his entire fortune between 1901 and 1919 when he died and based on 2007 dollars would have been worth 298 Billion dollars. Another somewhat lesser but more current billionaire Walter Annenberg donated an estimated 2 billion dollars to charities during his lifetime, in fact made the largest donation to the United Negro College Fund ever at a whopping 50 million dollars in one hit.

The point being, these people did this very quietly without any fanfare . They didn't flaunt their wealth and didn't need to be prodded to distribute their wealth to organizations and institutions that would put it to good use. My best guess is that they all saw this as a way to pay back a society that had afforded them great success for having worked hard, worked smart and having being lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time with the right ideas.

IT'S GAYS IN THE MILITARY NIGHT, and don't think I'm going to be nice to either side of this controversy

I have stayed away from this topic in deference to gay friends (I'm quite straight and that's no s_ _t) and the fact that I served Honorably in the greatest fighting force ever fielded, The US Army, allows me to comment objectively from a soldiers standpoint.

It's the endless propagandizing and attempts at homogenization of our population and the pussification of all men regardless of race/creed/color by the parasitic Socialists that have managed to infect our government (although many are on the launch pad in January and I hope many more in 2012 along with Prez you know who) is what is really compelling me to comment on this icky poo issue we are being faced with.

If you have ever read any of my blogs you might think I'm against gays or Homosexuals as I choose to call them, being allowed to serve and if you do think I am you're dead wrong. I am all for them serving in the military, but, they should serve as they always have and the 'don't ask don't tell' policy should be made permanent. Having served in the military with people who were rumored to be homosexuals never had any bearing on my attitude toward them. I never gave a second thought to going into battle with one and would not have hesitated to put myself in harms way to protect them, simply put, they were soldiers and we were comrades in arms. Anyone who is of the opinion that gays are not capable of serving in or should be excluded from service in the military is an idiot. The fact is, gays have been serving honorably in our military services for as long as we have had the services.

My take on this whole thing is this, the military is not where you walk around proclaiming your gayness or gay pride, that's for the various parades where gays and lesbians make fools of themselves each year around the country by providing what they think is outrageous entertainment for the straight people that line the streets to observe thousands of of horribly insecure people trying to convince themselves and anyone who will listen that they are proud of their lot.

I say, if you want to serve, serve for the right purpose and the right reasons. The military is not now and never will be a bully pulpit for proclaiming you sexual preference, it is there to protect us from our enemies, service in the military is an honor and should be treated as such. Letting homosexuals serve openly in the military, I feel, will bring out the worst element imaginable. I can just guess how many militants are waiting in the wings to subvert the various services with their inane lawsuits claiming mistreatment, discrimination and hate crimes.

The heads of the various branches of the services are right, now is not the time to address this and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Admiral Mullen and Secretary of Defense Gates are all wrong on this one.

In other words, serve, do your time like everyone else and always look back on your time in the military with great pride and a sense of honor.

What's this stupid headline about a man arrested who spoke of a Jihad plot. HE TRIED TO DETONATE WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS A BOMB!

For the second time in as many weeks we have another Islamic terrorist wannabe out there trying to blow up innocent Americans. This time it's a young Nicaraguan convert to the great Islamic religion. Antonio Martinez apparently thought, breathed and ate jihad. So much so that the Fed's couldn't talk him out of following through with his planned bombing. And please don't get me wrong when I say young man, this scumbag is twenty one and that means he has no excuse at all for anything, except maybe being stupid and converting to Islam, is that called being redundant.

I can already hear the wailing and the gnashing of teeth from the Muslim and the Hispanic communities on this one, hell, if Antonio's skin is dark enough Al Sharpton might even get into this one just for some cheap publicity. Entrapment they will be screaming at the top of their voices, the Fed's taking advantage of an unsophisticated immigrant who came here to take advantage of what this great country has to offer. CAIR and La Raza or whatever the Nicaraguan equivalent is will threaten boycotts and claim racism, and probably throw something in about pat downs just for extra added effect.

Antonio Martinez aka, Muhammad Hussain (who by the way hasn't had time to legally change his name while putting this failed plot together) is facing several really serious charges of Attempted murder of federal officers and Attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction (which is the one that I think gets him some really hard time), but I can't understand why he isn't charged with Domestic terrorism unless our current Attorney General, the eloquent Eric Holder, has reduced that to a misdemeanor. I give the Fed's credit for their good work on this one, this is an example of what our law enforcement organizations should be doing all around the country, there's no room for these types in America.

Who'd a thunk it, more foreign fighters slipping back into Iraq, say it aint so President Obama, but if you do, I'll know the rumor is true.

I had several complaints about how the government handled the war in Iraq. First, our troops being sent into into battle ill prepared for what they were to encounter. Second was the orders coming from Washington that allowed the remaining 10,000 Republican Guard to disperse when they had surrendered instead of killing them all and lastly that we did not send enough troops from the beginning and so many losses were incurred before the decision for the surge was actually executed. All of this bad decision making was evidenced by the departure of Donald Rumsfeld and I think had something to do with the apparent contentious relationship then President Bush had with his Vice President. Mr. Rumsfeld and Mr. Chaney were absolutely wrong in their theory about the effectiveness of a small hi-tech military being able to handle any situation, Iraq was a classic good old fashioned ground war.

Fast forward to the next administration and the current President being so intent on pulling out of Iraq so as to placate the far left backers who had put him into the Presidency. In the last several months there has been renewed violence and it appears that most has been caused by foreign fighters. There are also reports that as many as 250 foreign fighters entered Iraq in October alone. This was put down by US analysts who said there were maybe ten of less and other US officials say the number may be higher. I have a tendency to half believe the Iraqi intelligence officials about half way so I'm guessing about one hundred twenty five entered then. Regardless any foreign fighters is not good.

There are a number of theories being floated and all have a degree of credibility. One is that the Sunni Muslims want to take control back over the country and they are going to create as much chaos as they can. Another is that the Arab countries are concerned over the influence that Iran appears to have over Iraq. And another that really does hold water and that is the Arab countries want the US out of Iraq. Whatever the reason I think the government should reverse course for the short term if only to see if the Iraqi forces can deal with this 'surge' in foreign fighters by hunting them down and eliminating them or capture them as they are coming into the country effectively rendering them incapable of carrying out their terrorist acts.

I'm no fan of this administration, but erring on the side of caution when you have the troops in place could prove to be a real right move.

The discrepancy in hirings was so large that even the liars in the Obama administration had to come clean, and then unemployment jumped to 9.8%

When the unemployment numbers came out today the government said there had been a slight discrepancy in the number of job hirings last month. It wasn't 93,000 as they had originally stated but 39,000, somehow this superimposing of numbers got by them, I wonder if this means that they never check their numbers? I'm sure that this was a mere oversight and has nothing to do with any pending legislation that the administration is trying to push through, well, maybe just a little bit. I am constantly amazed at how the Obama administration continues to jump from one issue to another without ever landing on the economy which in the real world is the one the vast majority of 'Americans' are interested in.

I have come to believe that the lack of attention that Mr. Obama and his many minions pay to the economy is that they have so little actual experience, as most have never had real jobs, and thus lack the tools to deal with real world issues. It's kind of like learning about martial arts from a book or a CD but never having sparred or been in a fight and not having a clue about what it is like to get punched in the face, real hard. The fact is most don't fare well when punched even lightly. The same principle applies to the working world, skills have to be developed before anyone is considered really good at what they do and development of skills takes time and generally a few punches in the face, so to speak.

Now that we are at 9.8% the government says that we may very well see 10% for a while because there appears to be a general slowing in the economy. And these miscreants have the nerve to tell the American people that we may have 9+% unemployment through the next election. I think our best chance to see things improve is for Mr.Obama to come back from his trip to Afghanistan and go right to Hawaii on vacation with his family and stay there until after the New Year, then the new Congress can get down to the business at hand. My best guess is the Senate will swing with the Congress more often then not as most of the Democrats in the Senate want to be there after the 2012 elections and will most likely not want to pin their tails or futures as it may be on the donkey in the White House.

The Tequila Party. How about Hispanics or Latinos or whatever just doing it the RIGHT way, like all imigrants before them. This is socialist BS.

I was holding off opening this blog again until tonight when I caught this article on The Lookout, a Yahoo blog that Yahoo injects into it's site so they can have some ultra biased liberal content. Sadly, Yahoo wouldn't open the comments section after the article for fear, I'm sure, of the harsh comments that the general public at large would have heaped onto them deservedly .

The article starts with a picture of a noticeably Hispanic woman wearing an Uncle Sam suit and a Santa Claus beard, the symbolism somehow escapes me completely. The article goes on to say that the Tea party had such success that the Hispanics see it as a way to essentially get their way with the dream act, amnesty, health care, etc, etc. Apparently they missed the point of the last election, the American people as a whole voted against the Democratic/Socialist mandates of the current administration and that includes kowtowing to the illegals in this country.

The free lunch is over, at least for the time being. Whether illegal or legal, born here or naturalized and including wannabes better get it through their heads that the policies instituted in the sixties and accelerated to light speed in the last twenty years have brought this country to it fiscal knees. The policies instituted by the current administration were for the most part put in place as part of a grand socialist plan with a secondary plan to gain a vote advantage far into the future with a final result of securing a one party system altogether. There was one huge very visible flaw in the plan however, who was going to pay for it? The American People saw this before it was to late and reacted accordingly at the ballot box, before that right was lost.

Apparently the Democratic Party didn't get it as well as a group of disgruntled Hispanics when the voters spoke. Do it the right way, like immigrants have since the founding of this country. Don't look for handouts, work your way to the top like the rest of us. Assimilate as quickly as you can, become part of the fabric of this great country, don't forget your history and celebrate it on traditional American Holidays like Christmas and Easter and Halloween and Arbor Day and St. Patrick's Day and Veterans Day and Memorial Day what the hell, Cinco De Mayo and stop trying to make the United States into another Mexico, try to remember why you came here to begin with and what it was you were getting away from, and one last thing stop with the Mexican flags on your cars.

The President taking blame for security breaches is pure idiocy, he's a lousy manager and his incompetent subordinates should be fired.

The President played while 'Rome' burned, well really he played tennis and golf while the country wondered what kind of a response he was going to give for the TERRORIST ATTACK in Detroit. He waited three days before getting up in front of the teleprompter to give a rather weak kneed response that was about as firm as a bowl of runny oatmeal. In the meantime he had his head of Homeland Security, the effervescent Janet Napolitano, in front of the cameras twice, once telling the world that our system works and then after someone explained to what had happened she got up and said there was essentially a small problem. At the same time the head of our counter terrorism efforts went on a ski trip, great, I laud the fact that he is a good family man but when you get a big government job, with a big government salary and all of the perks that come with it you work seven days a week twenty four hours a day for the term of your employment, and that's that.

There were also a jillion or so more gaffs and gaps in our security system because the Obama people have been systematically dismantling many of the safeguards that were put into place by the prior administration. It doesn't take a Republican to tell you why we hadn't been attacked until these guy's took over, they brought this on themselves. Now they are scrambling to figure out how to close the holes they have opened in our security net and it 'ain't gonna' be easy. They have demoralized our intelligence network by their constant threats of prosecution for everything imaginable, they have demoralized our troops by imposing rules of engagement that make their job even more perilous than it already is and they refuse to treat terrorists like terrorists should be, with maximum malice.

Mr. Obama appears to have drunk a little too much of his own punch as it appears he thinks he can tell the American people that he has everything under control, that all of his department heads won't make any mistakes again and we little people should not concern ourselves with higher things like the workings of government and then has his people attack anyone who has the audacity to question his wisdom. The individuals named are all a couple of pay scales beyond their ability to include 44 himself. The only way it appears the American people will be able to remedy this mess is during the mid-term elections this year, that's 2010 for you Democrats and again in 2012 when the Prez comes up for re-election.

All this genteel, enlightened talk about how deal with terrorism when the real solution is right on the tips of our politically correct tongues.

We had George Bush releasing terrorists back to the Middle East and wherever only to have them end up in Yemen and the surrounding countryside right back in the terrorism business. We have the current genius in the White House working day and night with his handler people and of course our illustrious Attorney General, also a tongue in cheek genius, making promises to the liberal factions both here and abroad that we will close 'Gitmo', move the terrorists to a new home in Illinois and try them in Federal Courts so the terrorists have a pulpit from which to spread their message. The prison in Illinois concept is basically political payback for God knows what and you really don't want to know, and is being hailed by the idiots that have been elected by the fine people of Illinois as a right move for 'job creation' in our down economy that they won't tell us, will probably end up costing us ten times more than the facility in Cuba.

For the benefit of those who aren't totally familiar with what 'Gitmo' really is and especially the emotionally led true believers and the rest of those who get all of their knowledge of world events from MSNBC and CNN and NPR, 'Gitmo' as it has come to be known to those who can't spell or actually know where it is for that matter is really Guantanamo Bay. Yes 'Gitmo' the military prison located on the tropical Communist controlled island of Cuba where we have had and continue to operate a Naval installation on Guantanamo Bay and probably the best place in the known world to house terrorists because of it's remote location and security is up for closure because the Obama administration say's it makes us look like bully's to the rest of the world, my questions is and always has been, what part of the world is he referring to? Anyone with an ounce of brains and even a tiny pair pair of balls from either a civilized Democracy or a Socialist hybrid for that matter (Europe, Russia, Canada) anywhere in the world should be ecstatic that the scum we have at 'Gitmo' are segregated from the rest of the worlds population and commend us for operating and housing these miscreants.

But since the odor of bovine feces emitted by the winds of politics today are currently in favor of doing the exact opposite of basic logic I thought I would weigh in with some possible solutions to the terrorist problem that would at the same time save designated billions that the current administration could then apply to the further expansion of government without actually increasing our ever expanding deficit. The first part of the solution is to tell America and the rest of the American haters around the world that 'Gitmo' has been closed. Even if it's a lie it doesn't matter because these guy's have been lying from the day one and their real followers believe them anyway. Next, the government calls in people from the 'Mafia' which we all know the government crushed and no longer exists, and get advice from them on how to dispose of bodies. You may not know this but the 'Mafia', that doesn't exist, are able to dispose of bodies so efficiently that no one has a clue as to what ever happened to them, reference Jimmy Hoffa and a very long list of others over the years. Next, a directive is sent to reliable military and clandestine services personal stating that they are to interrogate and then dispose of any and all terrorists that are caught.

For those who haven't caught on to this point, it means kill them and use whatever means there are to make them disappear permanently without a trace. The effect from this would be twofold, first the individual terrorist would no longer be a threat and secondly it would send a message that if you take part in this type of activity you will be dealt with in the harshest of manners, I call it a simple solution for a problem that in reality is much simpler to deal with than our government would have you believe.
